Lima Company announced today that they are launching a new website as part of a major integrated marketing and sales initiative. The new website, limacompany.net is Lima Company’s first step into the world of digital marketing.
“We built a very successful business on word of mouth recommendations”, said Bob Lima, Lima Company President, “but I realized with today’s economy that would not be enough to keep us growing. We are proud of our reputation for doing quality work at a fair price. We provide a high level of dependable service and have great relationships with our existing customers. I decided that it was time to let the world know about the Lima Company difference.”
Lima Company also announces the creation of a new Sales and Marketing Department. “Our intent is to continue to develop our connections with our existing customers and to build new relationships with future customers”, said Lima. The department will be headed by Bob Adams who will serve as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “I’m excited about this new challenge and the opportunity to take Lima Company in a new direction”, said Adams. “I’ve known Bob Lima for many years and have always admired his approach to the business. He treats his customer’s projects as if they were his own. He hires the right people and treats them well. It is a formula for success and I am glad to be part of it.”
As part of the marketing program they have created the Lima Company brand: Lima Company, the right choice. “We chose this tag line because it describes who we are” commented Lima. “We have the right people, we have the right approach to our work and we get the right results for our customer.”
In anticipation of future growth, Lima Company also announced the promotion of Bob Powers to Vice President of Operations. “Bob Powers was the first person that I hired and he has been with us for 33 years” said Bob Lima. “His contributions to our success are significant and I know he will continue to provide the leadership, enthusiasm and innovation required as we move forward” added Lima. “We have a great team and are poised to do great things with all of our customers”
Meet Bob Adams
As a junior at Widener University, Bob Adams secured a position working in the Insurance profession, while he finished his degree in Business and Finance. He specialized in Property and Casualty coverage for the plumbing industry. This is where he first met Bob Lima, as Lima Company was a client of the firm Bob had joined. Through that business relationship they developed a bond that would last for more than twenty years.
After 7 years in the insurance profession, Bob had an opportunity to join one of the premier plumbing manufacturer representative firms in the country, Rich Tomkins Company. He spent the next 14 years building sales, relationships and developing markets for Bradford-White, Delta Faucet, Whirlpool and Jacuzzi, to name a few of the major brands he represented.
In early 2008, another challenge/opportunity presented itself. The opportunity was to start and grow a plumbing contracting business. Despite his substantial success at Rich Tompkins Bob decided to take the risk. Within 2 ½ years, the team that he assembled, built a $1.9 Million plumbing company that is still in operation today.

In September 2011, two decades from when their business relationship began, Bob Adams was invited to join the Lima Company team as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “After an extensive search and dozens of interviews, I realized that the right person was standing right in front of me”, said Lima Company President, Bob Lima. “Bob is a great fit for our company and I am confident that his leadership and energy will drive our future growth”, added Lima.
Bob brings over 23 years of entrepreneurial spirit, relationship building ability and sales/marketing expertise to Lima Company. The task at hand is to double the amount of clients we touch and serve, over the next 5 years, while continuing to enhance our existing clients’ experience with our company.
Meet Bob Powers
Bob Powers joined Lima Company in 1978 at the age of 18, working part time as a plumber’s helper. Upon graduation from high school he entered the union apprentice program and quickly moved through the ranks to become a master plumber. Bob spent the next 15 years in the field working with all of Lima Company’s major customers on both the service and contract sides of the business. Bob moved into operations and worked in estimating, project management and customer service, eventually becoming manager of the Plumbing Service Department. In 1994 Bob was named Vice President of Plumbing Services and became a part of the senior management team.

In 2011 he was again promoted to the newly created position of Vice President of Operations. “Bob was the first person hired after I started the business” said Bob Lima, Lima Company President. “His hard work, enthusiasm and a willingness to grow and learn has helped make Lima Company what it is today”, added Lima. “As we move into a new growth phase for our business, Bob Powers will be a key factor in managing that growth.
