Power and Heat from One Source

Traditional power generation is usually very ineffective. The heat released during this process has usually no use. Additionally, the heat is produced separately in diff erent sources. What about doing this diff erently?

Who Benefits From Cogeneration

Cogeneration can be applied in any structures where heating or cooling is necessary:

  • hospitals and clinics
  • retirement homes
  • hospitality
  • spas
  • hortaculture
  • supermarkets
  • swimming pools and aqua parks
  • shopping malls
  • industrial establishments
  • municipal heating plants, etc.
Combined Production of Heat and Power

The combined production of heat and power, or cogeneration, is the method of electric power generation during which the heat created during the manufacturing process is utilized efficiently. This results in a very high efficiency when the energy in the fuel is being used. The small-sized and medium-sized CHP units are mostly designed on the basis of gas-combustion engines. The engine rotates and drives the generator. The heat from engine cooling and from exhaust gases is used for heating, hot water preparation, and other purposes. The power produced in CHP unit can either be exploited for internal needs or supplied to the power grid. In certain cases, CHP unit can also have a role as a backup source of power in case of power outage.

The Training Center

Housed within our 37,000 square foot facility, our live cogeneration system will be used to power the facility and provide training programs for groups within the United States.

This center will be utilized to:

  • provide client direct training for facility operators.
  • strengthen relationships with professional associations
  • build confidence in Cogeneration Energy Systems through education and hands on training
  • provide networking venue for various groups
  • gain valuable client feedback to improve systems and client experience
  • provide manufacturer partners a venue to train on their products utilized within our cogeneration systems
Monitoring & Remote Control

The monitoring of CHP units in operation is critical. It is an “on-line” monitoring of the operation and technical conditions of the CHP units. The 24/7 remote monitoring allows a very fast reaction to possible malfunctions of the unit often even preventing them. This service helps save the customer’s money by significantly reducing the shutdown time of the CHP unit in the event of a fault.

Benefits include:

  • reduces maintenance costs due to timely analysis of operation values
  • allows the configuration of a CHP unit control system without the necessity of its shutdown
  • allows team to analyze the condition of the unit without the necessity of a maintenance technician
  • always informs the operator about possible operational problems
