Project | Installation of Condensing Storage Water Heaters
Lima Company was honored to work with Revo and its client, a national hotel chain in the Philadelphia area, to install the high efficiency condensing storage water heater units to serve their facility.
Lima Company isolated, drained and disconnected the water, gas, flue and electric from 2 existing, inefficient and dated units, dismantled and removed the old units, rigged the new units into the mechanical room, setting and piping the units and rewiring the electrical utilities as needed. We filled, purged and activated the system and tested everything for proper operation.
The product we installed was the CONQUEST® Condensing Gas Water Heaters, manufactured by PVI Industries, who was purchased by Watts Water Technologies, Inc. on November 2, 2016. The CONQUEST is a small footprint, fire tube, condensing storage water heater featuring a submerged combustion chamber and spiraled array of fire tubes fabricated entirely from AquaPLEX. It has an operational efficiency up to 97% thermal efficiency from 40°F to 140°F, at full rate; part load efficiency up to 99% with modulating models, and they meet ASHRAE 90.1 standards. These heaters qualify for LEED certification and may contribute to additional LEED points due to their operational efficiency.
