Recycling Program to Benefit Veterans

Lima Company Community Spotlight, Lima Cares

Lima Company is humbled by the opportunity to help our Veterans.

We are committed to help the mission of The Veteran Group and our  own Bob Adams, VP of Sales and Marketing, has been on their Board of Directors for over 7 years.

The Veterans Group is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization operating two homes in the University City section of  Philadelphia, PA. These homes provide shelter for up to 41 men, providing them with a roof over their head, 3 warm meals a day and a variety of programs and services.  These men were homeless and struggle with addiction and various other mental and physical conditions, such as PTSD.  With over 30% of our homeless population consisting of Veterans, they really need and deserve our help.

In January, Lima Company held a Clothing and Household Goods Drive to support The Veterans Group Recycling Program.  We collected over 2 pallets full of household goods, that will convert to proceeds that benefit the Veterans who call TVG home.  Thank you to all that participated.

“It was easy to set up. I made up a color flyer, posted it throughout our facility, made sure everyone in our company received it via email and set up a spot for the collections in our warehouse.” He went on to say, “after we collected 2 pallets full, we simply placed the call and they picked up the goods. It was awesome and every company should do it!” Bob Adams | VP of Sales and Marketing , Lima Company
